We ARE Your Solar Energy Experts!

Making your home energy efficient before you Go Solar is an essential first step. Energy-saving actions—such as changing incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), and replacing old, inefficient appliances—are the best way to save energy and money while providing lasting benefits to the environment. Energy efficiency measures also help reduce the size of the solar system you will need, saving you thousands of dollars in up-front installation costs.
Hoffman Construction will help you achieve your energy efficiency goals.

Hoffman Construction is a fully licensed and Qualified General Contractor with over 25 years of experience in residential construction. Owner, Shawn Hoffman has received specialized Certification in the application and installation of both Solar and Wind Energy Systems. Teamed up with his Brother Stuart Briggs, they will provide you with the most productive and efficient energy system available for your home. We will evaluate important factors that will affect your solar system performance such as the roof size, orientation (tilt and direction) of the system, shading and other factors in order to provide your home with the most effective system available for your needs. We will handle any and all permitting required by the city or county. Once the required permits are acquired, a typical residential installation can be completed within one week. Once the system is installed and your new system passes inspection, we will notify your utility company and request the interconnection of your system to the grid. Once your system is interconnected, you will begin reaping the benefits of solar power generation and Net Energy Metering. Each month, electricity you produce in excess of your own consumption will be sent back to the utility grid and credited to your account. These credits are used to offset some or all of your annual electric consumption.

Hoffman Construction will provide you with the necessary documentation and Tax form for your 30% Federal Tax Deduction that you are entitled to for your the current tax year.....saving you thousands of dollar$!

How Much Solar Systems Cost
No single answer applies in every case, but current incentives offered through Federal Rebates and some State Incentives will reduce your expenses by approximately 30-40% of the system cost... plus, you could dramatically reduce your annual electric cost, saving you out-of-pocket money immediately. The cost of a Solar energy System depends on a number of factors, including system size, equipment options and labor costs. The size of your system may be the most significant factor in any measurement of cost vs. benefits, this analysis will be completed by your solar contractor. It is also important to factor in the cost of capital used to finance your project. In simplest terms, prices are discussed in terms of dollars per Watt. Currently, the Solar Industry market Reports that systems are being installed for roughly $6/Watt–$8/Watt for residential systems.

EXAMPLE
An approximate system cost of $20,000.00
The IRS offers a 30% Federal Tax Credit on the total system = $6,000.
The final out-of-pocket cost - approximately $14,000.00
